The Ridgemont golf team lost to Riverside by a score of 179 to 225 on Monday at Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. Leading the way for Ridgemont was Lyndon Roof with a score of 49, including two pars.

DOLA — Hardin Northern had more than 500 yards of offense, including 329 through the air, on the way to a 57-35 win over Arcadia in non-league football action on Friday. Polar Bear quarterback Owen Wetherill was 18 of 31 with six touchdown passes, including tosses of 56, 34 and 46 yards to Nick Adams.

I feel most compelled to write this letter on behalf of the Hardin County Ambassadors. For the past few months, many of you in the community have questioned as to what happen to the Ambassadors in the Green (Hardin County Green) jackets.

An officer responded to a report of a theft of a check at 390 Garfield Ave. Rebecca S. Patrick, 626 Smith Ave., reported that she has not seen her 20-year-old daughter, Brianna Marie Cooper, since Sunday evening.

The Alger Memorial Festival Committee is sponsoring a country-style breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Alger Social Center, 210 N. Main St. On the menu are biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and a beverage for a suggested donation of $7.

LIMA – Rhodes State College has announced the 2017 Summer Semester Dean’s Lists for part-time students. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in at least six but not more than 11 credit hours and earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher.

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International congratulates Club 250 winner Eve Johnson-Timmons for week 39. She will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser to provide scholarships for local area women and girls.
