Sheriff’s office investigating report of sexual assault Posted on January 27, 2017 0 The Hardin County Sheriff is encouraging residents to be vigilant in their daily lives following a report of a woman being sexually assaulted by an unknown man Thursday evening. The reported assault originated in Roundhead Township in the southwestern corner of the county. “The sheriff’s office is working with very limited information at this time,” said Sheriff Keith Everhart in a press release at noon on Friday. “I am encouraging all residents of Hardin County to exercise vigilance in their daily routine and to notify the sheriff’s office of any suspicious activity observed in your areas,” he said. “Detectives are working diligently to resolve this case as quickly as possible. Updates will be provides as soon as is reasonably possible.”
